OVERVIEW:
The GWSI 10 ml Class A serological pipette is a certified orange-band pipette for 0.10 ml steps with a serial you can file. Premium borosilicate 3.3 glass gives high thermal shock resistance, hydrolytic resistance, and chemical inertness on a 10 ml stem. DIN ISO 835 / ASTM E1044 Class A tolerance is ±0.050 ml — half the Class B glassware ±0.10 ml table. Calibrated to deliver (TD) at 20 °C; blow out the last drop. Certificate in the box; NABL gravimetric calibration on request. This is Class A volumetric glassware in serological form. Interchangeable ground joints stay on flasks.
HISTORY :
Validated methods kept writing “10 ml” while the bench used an uncertified orange serological. Auditors asked for Class A error and a certificate, not a teaching pipette. The certified 10 ml serological kept the to-the-tip blow-out and added the paper trail. GWSI Glass Lab still draws, times, and certifies that 10 ml pipette in Ambala as autoclavable lab glass.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :
We melt high-purity borosilicate 3.3 and draw a 10 ml stem long enough for a clear 0.10 ml scale. The jet is timed to the tighter Class A delivery window — length makes that window unforgiving. After the lehr anneal, scale, blow-out rings, orange code, and serial go on; only pieces inside ±0.050 ml keep a certificate number.
TESTING PROCESS :
First inspection is manual: jet, 0.10 ml spacing, rings, orange band, straightness, and serial. A polarization stress test on the polariscope follows. Delivery is then timed and weighed to I.S.O. DIN (ISO 835 Class A) / ASTM E1044 — TD at 20 °C, last drop blown out, ±0.050 ml. NABL gravimetric calibration writes the batch or individual certificate that ships with the pipette.
PRINTING PROCESS :
The 0.10 ml scale, Class A / TD / 20 °C, serial, orange code, and GWSI name are precision screened with glass enamels (ceramic inks). Kiln firing completes ceramic glass fusing, so the scale and serial stay readable for the life of the certificate.
PACKAGING PROCESS :
Cosmetic sorting pulls seeds, slow jets, bent stems, and any piece outside Class A. Pass pipettes pack in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap, extra length supported, tip guards, and the printed certificate, for export from the Science City.
MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :
– Never mouth-pipette — 10 ml needs a filler
– Match stem serial to the certificate before first use
– Blow out the last drop; Class A serological is still blow-out
– Read at eye level; interval is 0.10 ml; work near 20 °C; wait the Class A delivery time
– Do not mix uncertified Class B 10 ml pipettes into a qualified set
– Recalibrate on your NABL / SOP interval, or after a drop
– Wash in a washer sized for 10 ml stems
– Autoclave this autoclavable lab glass at 121 °C only if the SOP allows; recheck volume after heat
– Store full-length in a rack — a hanging 10 ml jet chips and voids the certificate
