OVERVIEW :
The GWSI 1 ml Class A serological pipette is a certified yellow-band pipette for 0.010 ml steps inside a 1 ml bore. Premium borosilicate 3.3 glass gives high thermal shock resistance, hydrolytic resistance, and chemical inertness at this fine scale. DIN ISO 835 / ASTM E1044 Class A tolerance is ±0.007 ml — tighter than the Class B glassware ±0.010 ml table. Calibrated to deliver (TD) at 20 °C; blow out the last drop. Certificate in the box; NABL gravimetric calibration on request. This is Class A volumetric glassware in serological form. Interchangeable ground joints stay on flasks.
HISTORY:
A 1 ml one-mark pipette delivers 1.00 ml and nothing else. Methods that stop at 0.35 or 0.72 ml needed a to-the-tip scale with Class A error and a serial. The certified 1 ml serological filled that gap. GWSI Glass Lab still draws, prints the 0.010 ml scale, and certifies that yellow-band pipette in Ambala as autoclavable lab glass.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :
GWSI melts high-purity borosilicate 3.3 and draws a 1 ml bore tight enough for a 0.010 ml line to read. The jet is fire-finished to the Class A delivery window — at 1 ml the tip makes or breaks the tolerance. After the lehr anneal, scale, blow-out rings, yellow code, and serial go on; only pieces inside ±0.007 ml keep a certificate number.
TESTING PROCESS :
The first pass is manual: jet, 0.010 ml registration, rings, yellow band, and serial. A polarization stress test on the polariscope follows. Delivery is then weighed to I.S.O. DIN (ISO 835 Class A) / ASTM E1044 — TD at 20 °C, last drop blown out, ±0.007 ml. NABL gravimetric calibration writes the batch or individual certificate that ships with the pipette.
PRINTING PROCESS :
The 0.010 ml scale, Class A / TD / 20 °C, serial, yellow code, and GWSI name are precision screened with glass enamels (ceramic inks). Kiln heat drives ceramic glass fusing, so the fine scale and serial stay sharper than the paper in the sleeve.
PACKAGING PROCESS :
Cosmetic sorting pulls seeds, merged 0.010 ml lines, and jets outside Class A time. Pass pipettes pack in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap, tip guards, and the printed certificate, for export from the Science City.
MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :
– Never mouth-pipette — use a filler even at 1 ml
– Match stem serial to the certificate before first use
– Blow out the last drop; Class A serological is still blow-out
– Read at eye level; interval is 0.010 ml; work near 20 °C
– Do not mix uncertified Class B 1 ml pipettes into a qualified set
– Recalibrate on your NABL / SOP interval, or after a drop
– Wash with care; grit in a 1 ml jet ends Class A immediately
– Autoclave this autoclavable lab glass at 121 °C only if the SOP allows; recheck volume after heat
