OVERVIEW :
The GWSI 1 ml Class A Mohr pipette is the yellow-coded Type 1 pipette for 0.01 ml steps inside a 1 ml stem. Premium borosilicate 3.3 glass gives high thermal shock resistance, hydrolytic resistance, and chemical inertness at this fine bore. ISO 835 Class A tolerance is ±0.007 ml, TD at 20 °C. The scale stops above the jet. **Leave the tip wet** — a blow-out at 1 ml is most of the tolerance. That blow-out tool is our 1 ml serological. Class B glassware is the student Mohr. Interchangeable ground joints stay on flasks.
HISTORY :
A 1 ml one-mark pipette only ever delivers 1.00 ml. A 1 ml serological invites a blow-out that swamps ±0.007 ml. Mohr’s smallest Type 1 let an analyst stop at 0.43 ml with the jet out of the sum. That is still the 1 ml measuring pipette QC reaches for when hundredths matter and blow-out is banned. GWSI Glass Lab draws it in Ambala as autoclavable lab glass.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :
GWSI melts high-purity borosilicate 3.3 and draws a 1 ml bore that can hold a 0.01 ml line. The lowest mark is registered above the jet; yellow code goes on **without** blow-out rings. A lehr anneal then takes forming stress out of the thin wall before print.
TESTING PROCESS :
The first pass is manual: 0.01 ml registration, dead-leg to the jet, yellow band only, jet. A polarization stress test on the polariscope follows. Delivery is then weighed to I.S.O. DIN (ISO 835 Type 1) on a manual or automatic stand — TD at 20 °C, two menisci, wet tip Class A ±0.007 ml. NABL gravimetric calibration is available on this Class A volumetric glassware.
PRINTING PROCESS :
The 0.01 ml Mohr scale, Class A / TD / 20 °C, yellow code, and GWSI name are precision screened with glass enamels (ceramic inks). Kiln heat drives ceramic glass fusing, so the hundredth-lines stay sharp and do not get read as a to-the-tip scale.
PACKAGING PROCESS :
Cosmetic sorting rejects seeds merged 0.01 ml lines, and any double ring. Pass pipettes pack in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap and tip guards for export from the Science City.
MAINTENANCE & SAFETY:
– Never mouth-pipette — use a filler even at 1 ml
– Never blow out — at 1 ml that film exceeds good practice on ±0.007 ml
– Run meniscus to meniscus; interval is 0.01 ml; work near 20 °C
– Look for yellow band and no double ring
– Do not swap with a Class A 1 ml serological or a one-mark 1 ml mid-method
– Wash with care; grit in a 1 ml jet ends Class A
– Autoclave this autoclavable lab glass at 121 °C only if the SOP allows; recheck volume after heat
– Store in a rack, tips guarded
– Retire any pipette with a chipped jet, worn last line, or cloudy bore
