OVERVIEW:

GWSI Glass Lab manufactures this 250 ml hexagonal measuring cylinder from premium borosilicate 3.3 glass with Class A volumetric accuracy and ASTM calibration. Built for precise liquid measurement, it delivers high thermal shock resistance, full chemical inertness, and hydrolytic resistance. Every cylinder is I.S.O. DIN, NABL calibrated for absolute reliability.

SHORT HISTORY:
Hexagonal-base measuring cylinders with Class A tolerances were developed in the early 20th century to provide stable, accurate liquid measurement in pharmaceutical and analytical labs. The hexagonal base prevents tipping during filling and reading. GWSI modernizes this design with borosilicate 3.3 durability, ceramic glass fusing for markings, and autoclavable lab glass reliability.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:
We melt high-purity borosilicate 3.3, shape the 250 ml cylinder with a hexagonal base through master hand-blowing or automated molding, apply ceramic glass fusing to markings, and complete controlled annealing to fully eliminate thermal stress.

TESTING PROCESS:
Every cylinder receives manual polariscope stress testing for zero residual stress, followed by high-precision ISO, DIN standard verification — manual or automatic testing machine — and NABL gravimetric calibration for Class A volumetric accuracy.

PRINTING PROCESS:
Graduations and markings are applied by precision screening with ceramic glass enamels, baked in high-temperature kilns to permanently fuse the scale into the borosilicate 3.3 matrix so it never fades.

PACKAGING PROCESS:
We perform cosmetic sorting to filter out any blemishes, confirm hexagonal base stability, and pack in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap for safe export from Ambala, the Science City.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY:
* Autoclavable lab glass: sterilize at 121 °C before reuse.
* Clean with non-abrasive detergents; avoid impact to the hexagonal base and glass walls.
* Confirm hydrolytic resistance before measuring acidic or alkaline solutions repeatedly.
* Store upright in a stable rack away from direct heat sources.
* Inspect for polarization stress before high-thermal-shock cycles.
