OVERVIEW:

GWSI Distillation Apparatus is a complete setup for separating and purifying liquids by boiling point differences. Premium borosilicate 3.3 glass with interchangeable ground joints delivers high thermal shock resistance, hydrolytic resistance, and full chemical inertness. The robust design handles repeated heating and cooling while maintaining airtight seals. This autoclavable lab glass performs reliably in demanding lab environments.

HISTORY:

Distillation techniques trace back to ancient civilizations for producing spirits and essential oils. Modern laboratory glass distillation apparatus emerged in the 19th century with innovations by chemists like Justus von Liebig. Borosilicate glass later solved the problem of cracking under thermal stress, enabling safe and precise separations in scientific work.

APPLICATIONS :

– Pharmaceutical labs for solvent recovery and purification
– Biotech research facilities for compound separation
– Industrial chemical and petrochemical analysis
– School and educational institute teaching experiments
– Colleges and university chemistry labs
– Research lab and educational institute projects

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:

GWSI melts high-purity borosilicate 3.3 glass and shapes components via master hand-blowing or automated molding. Precision forming creates interchangeable ground joints, followed by annealing to relieve thermal stress.

TESTING PROCESS:

Quality begins with manual inspection followed by polarization stress testing to ensure zero residual stress. High-precision verification follows I.S.O. and DIN standards using manual or automatic testing machines. Each apparatus undergoes rigorous checks for joint fit and thermal performance.

PRINTING PROCESS :

GWSI applies permanent markings through precision screening with Glass Enamels (Ceramic Inks). These are baked in high-temperature kilns to permanently fuse the scale into the glass matrix, so it never fades.

 PACKAGING  :

Final cosmetic sorting removes any blemishes. Each apparatus goes into heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap for safe export.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :

– Rinse immediately after use with mild detergent or suitable lab cleaner
– Autoclave safely at standard conditions
– Store components upright in padded cases to protect ground joints
– Inspect joints and surfaces for chips or cracks before each use
– Heat and cool gradually to avoid thermal shock
