HISTORY:
Integrated chromatography columns combining socket cone connections, sintered filtration discs, and glass key stopcocks emerged in mid-20th-century separation science to streamline workflows in a single vessel. GWSI updates this integrated concept with borosilicate 3.3 strength, ceramic glass fusing for joints and discs, interchangeable ground fittings, and autoclavable lab glass reliability.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS:
GWSI melts high-purity borosilicate 3.3, shapes the column tube via master hand-blowing or automated molding, fuses ceramic glass at the socket cone and sintered disc interfaces, applies interchangeable ground joints, and anneals to remove all thermal stress.

TESTING PROCESS:
Each column undergoes manual polariscope stress testing to confirm zero residual stress, then high-precision ISO and DIN standard checks via manual or automatic testing machines, followed by NABL gravimetric calibration for volumetric accuracy.

PRINTING PROCESS:
Scale markings and identification use precision screening with ceramic glass enamels, baked in high-temperature kilns to fuse permanently into the borosilicate 3.3 glass matrix, ensuring they never fade or wash away.

PACKAGING PROCESS:
Cosmetic sorting filters any imperfections, the glass key stopcock is paired securely, and the column is packed in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap for safe export from Ambala, the Science City.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY:
* Autoclavable lab glass: sterilize at 121 °C with the glass key stopcock fully open.
