OVERVIEW :

GWSI Adapters Socket Tubing Straight are simple, reliable connectors that join laboratory tubing with standard socket-style glass assemblies. Made from premium borosilicate 3.3 glass, they offer high thermal shock resistance, strong hydrolytic resistance, and excellent chemical inertness. Manufactured by GWSI Glass Lab in Ambala, Haryana, India, they keep fluid, gas, and vacuum lines clean, stable, and easy to integrate.

HISTORY :

Straight tubing adapters became common as interchangeable ground joints were standardized in the early 20th century. They solved the need for quick, reusable connections between flexible tubing and rigid laboratory glassware without complex custom fittings.

APPLICATIONS :

* Used in pharmaceutical labs for vacuum lines, solvent transfer, and reaction support assemblies.

* Suitable for biotech workflows needing autoclavable lab glass for clean gas or liquid handling.

* Applied in industrial laboratories for chemical transfer, distillation support, and process testing lines.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :

GWSI manufactures each adapter by melting high-purity borosilicate 3.3 glass and shaping the straight tube and socket through master hand-blowing or precision automated molding. The finished adapter is annealed in a controlled furnace to relieve thermal stress and improve durability during repeated heating and cooling.

TESTING PROCESS :

Each adapter undergoes a polarization stress test using a Polariscope to confirm zero residual stress and dependable glass stability

PACKAGING PROCESS:

Finished adapters are cosmetically sorted to remove pieces with visible blemishes, uneven sockets, chipped rims, or tube defects. Each unit is packed in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap for safe export handling.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :

* Clean with neutral lab detergent, rinse with purified water, and dry before connecting tubing.

* Autoclave only with open ends free from caps, plugs, or trapped pressure.

* Store padded and separated to protect the socket, tubing end, and ground joint surface.
