OVERVIEW :

GWSI Adapters Cone with Screw Thread are precision laboratory connectors designed to link screw-thread components with interchangeable ground joints. Made from premium borosilicate 3.3 glass, they deliver high thermal shock resistance, strong hydrolytic resistance, and excellent chemical inertness. Built by GWSI Glass Lab in Ambala, Haryana, India, they give labs a clean, secure, and durable connection point for demanding setups.

HISTORY :

Threaded glass adapters evolved in the early 20th century as standardized ground-glass joints became common in European laboratory glassware. No single inventor is credited; the design solved the need for tighter, reusable, and safer connections between glass assemblies and threaded accessories.

APPLICATIONS :

* Used in pharmaceutical labs for reaction assemblies, filtration lines, and controlled transfer systems.

* Suitable for biotech workflows needing autoclavable lab glass with clean, inert connections.

* Applied in industrial laboratories for solvent handling, vacuum setups, and chemical process testing.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :

GWSI manufactures these adapters by melting high-purity borosilicate 3.3 glass and shaping it through master hand-blowing or precision automated molding. Each piece is carefully annealed to relieve thermal stress and support long service life under heating, cooling, and pressure variation.

TESTING PROCESS :

Each adapter undergoes a polarization stress test using a Polariscope to verify low residual strain and dependable glass stability.

PACKAGING PROCESS :

Finished adapters are cosmetically sorted to remove pieces with visible blemishes, joint defects, or thread irregularities. They are packed in heavy-duty double-wall boxes with shock-absorbing bubble wrap for safe domestic and export shipment.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :

* Clean with neutral lab detergent, rinse with purified water, and avoid abrasive brushes on joints or threads.

* Autoclave only after loosening caps or fittings to prevent pressure build-up.

* Store dry, upright, and separated from metal tools to protect the ground cone and screw thread.
