Adapter Twin Connecting Hose

Adapter has two hose connections of 180°C from one another to permit a flow of inert gas over the apparatus

OVERVIEW:

The GWSI Adapter Twin Connecting Hose is a dual-port gas or vacuum inlet engineered for demanding lab applications. Proudly manufactured in Ambala, Haryana, India—the Science City—this specialized adapter is built from premium borosilicate 3.3 glass to ensure maximum chemical inertness under vacuum or positive gas pressure. It features two hose connections oriented 180° apart to allow seamless purging of inert gas across the setup while maintaining a reliable seal. With its high thermal shock resistance, it thrives in high-temperature organic reactions, distillation lines, and sensitive synthesis workflows.

HISTORY :

Developed mid-20th century to streamline inert gas purging, the twin hose adapter solved the challenge of oxygen and moisture contamination during air-sensitive chemical synthesis. By integrating dual parallel sidearms onto a single ground joint, researchers could introduce and exhaust gas simultaneously through a single neck of a flask.

APPLICATIONS :

*   Purging reaction flasks with inert gas (nitrogen or argon) during air-sensitive Grignard or organometallic syntheses.

*   Dual-line vacuum application and pressure-equalization inside multi-neck distillation assemblies.

*   Controlled gas introduction and sample purging in pharmaceutical and academic R&D testing.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS :

GWSI manufactures each adapter by heating premium-purity borosilicate 3.3 glass tubing and forming the dual sidearms and ground joint through expert hand-blowing. The completed adapter is slowly cooled in a computer-regulated annealing lehr to relieve thermal stress and reinforce the physical integrity of the joint connections.

TESTING PROCESS :

We subject every adapter to a rigorous polarization stress test with a polariscope to guarantee zero residual stress at the weld joints. While designed as a connection adapter,

PACKAGING PROCESS :

Every adapter undergoes critical cosmetic sorting to identify and reject any hairline cracks, air bubbles, or wall unevenness. The qualified products are wrapped in multi-layered, shock-absorbing bubble wrap and packed into heavy-duty double-wall boxes to prevent any breakage during global shipment.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY :

*   Before sterilizing this autoclavable lab glass, verify that any attached rubber or plastic tubing is removed or autoclave safe.

*   Clean the interior of the narrow hose connections using small, non-abrasive pipe-cleaners to preserve the glass’s superior hydrolytic resistance.

*   Always inspect the interchangeable ground joints for chips before connecting and apply a light film of high-vacuum silicone grease to prevent seizing.
